LG is Working On Nexus 5?

lg-nexus-5 Could it be the next LG flagship the Optimus 2 or the 5th generation of Google’s Nexus smartphone? As far as we can say is we have absolutely no clue as what phone is being published in the latest leaks from smartphone leaking fame “evleaks” on the company’s Twitter and Facebook.

nexus 5While earlier it seem that the just released pictures by evleaks are from a successors to LG Optimus 1 device, there also rumours stating that Google and LG have extended their partnership to build LG Nexus 5 after the success seen in LG Nexus 4 which is very similar to LG Optimus G.

There also some sort of benchmark test on AnTuTU benchmark test database in the form of unnamed LG smartphone with some go further to speculate that these test result are indeed from a different versions of LG Optimus G2. The smartphones – the LG-F340L, Lg-F320L, and LG-F320K – were seen running 1.5GHz or 2GHz processors and either Android 4.1.2 or Android 4.2.2 while the origin of device is thought to be from Korea.

Android Authority’s Chris Smith said identifying a device using a model number is quite a big ask. Smith also conclude that the its very likely the mysterious phone which come with a 5.5-inch display will hit the market sometimes around fourth quarter of this year since LG just recently announced its current flagship the LG Optimus G Pro in the U.S

Moreover, as we can see from the picture, the device doesn’t have any physical buttons but the phone come with a slight bezel to the phone up-top and, as one might expect, it could be charged via a USB 2.0 connections down below.

Overall, the phone come in size of around 2.5 by 5 inches, giving it the aforementioned 5.5-inch screen display (measured diagonally). the device is expected to go head-to-head with the recently launched Galaxy S4

Chinese Phone maker too dependent on AndroidBesides running into the potentially involving in a patent lawsuit, the Chinese ministry said the base technology and development roadmap of Android was heavily controlled by Google. HTC One preview: Enough to crush the competition?

Image

Information regarding HTC’s upcoming flagship smartphone for 2013 has been an open secret for the past couple months. As much rumoured specifications, image renderings and allegedly leaked images circulate the Internet on blog sites and forums, many have questioned if HTC’s new flagship – the now announced HTC One, would radically change the company’s course and win back some of HTC’s market share from the Korean giant – Samsung.

Even though it brings forward the One name from the HTC One series, the HTC One feels like a completely different smartphone altogether when compared to the HTC One X released just last year.

The HTC One screams nothing but luxury and performance, nothing less from a flagship device from HTC. The current 2013 flagship features an all-aluminum case and a beautiful Full HD 1080p display that cuts into the sides – making the sides of the device look somewhat “bezel-less”. In addition, the design language of the HTC One is now more conventional, ditching the rather rounded design for a more conventional edged design.

Speaking of the aesthetics, the HTC One features a reasonably slim waistline, though it’s a little thicker than the Galaxy S III and iPhone 5. The One is also noticeably heavier. As part of their marketing, HTC says this phone will outperform the HTC One X and One X+ in terms of battery life because of the fact that the One has a larger battery alongside more advanced software enhancements in the operating system.

In terms of the operating system, HTC is finally refraining from the conventional HTC Sense with rather childish-looking icons and images. Instead, HTC has went with a flatter, lighter, classier software layout called HTC Sense 5. Speaking of which, HTC Sense offers a unique user experience, yet is light enough to not get in the way of what you want to do with your HTC One.

It’s no secret that HTC has always been focused on the speakers on their smartphones. The HTC One is no exception, featuring amazing sound experience with stereo speakers, complete with Beats audio processing. Other than that, HTC has equipped the HTC One with a something called the Ultrapixel camera. HTC believes that a larger camera sensor doesn’t necessary mean better image quality, just larger images, which resulted in HTC capping the camera at 4-megapixels. HTC says that this will enable you to take pictures worthy of printing, sharing, or do whatever you wish with them, but at four times the resolutions and clarity of a comparable smartphone’s camera.

2013 has been a year with Full HD 1080p displays, quad-core processors and insane camera revolutions. With the HTC DNA and Sony Xperia Z already in the hands of consumers, the HTC One is definitely not the first smartphone to sport such modern features. However, nothing is stopping it from being the best.

An extremely reliable source that has proved worthy in the past has confirmed that Google is currently in the process of build their stand-alone retail stores in the U.S. in hopes to have their first Google Stores open for the holidays in major metropolitan areas.

The purpose of these stores are to get Google Nexus, Chrome and many upcoming products into the hands of prospective customers. Google feels that it’s losing out on sales because many potential customers need to get hands-on experience with the products before willing to purchase. In addition, main competitors or Google – such as Apple and Microsoft, both have retail outlets where potential customers can get hands-on experience before purchasing the devices.

As of now, Google has Chrome Store-within-a-store in hundreds of Best Buys across the U.S. and several others in the U.K. These stores consist of several trained Google employees, demonstrating the value of Chromebooks and also resolving the doubts of potential customers before making a purchase. However, unlike the Chrome Store-in-store, which doesn’t handle sales and mostly used for educating and marketing, the Google Store will actually be a place where Google devices would be sold.

Google may have no understand that if it wants to make its Nexus line up and Chromebooks more successful, they will have to dive into retail.
